About Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the simplest cosmetic procedures if done right. Doing it right means using a proper whitening agent (that is, a good peroxide gel) and an appropriate accelerator. The most practical accelerator is a lamp using cold blue light with a wavelength of around 500 nanometers. This wavelength of light is ideal for accelerating the whitening process of different peroxides, such as hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. Buy whitening gift certificates!

The procedure is very simple. Peroxide gel is added to a mouth tray. The customer inserts the tray into the mouth, allowing the front of the teeth to contact directly with the gel. A blue cold light lamp is placed directly in front of the customer’s open mouth and run for 15-20 minutes. Results are impressive. A 15-20 minute treatment yields an improvement of between 2-7 shades. The more treatments a person does, the whiter the teeth get.

It is important to note that not all lamps and gels are created equal. Even lamps with similar wavelengths will not produce the same results. Although the wavelength is important, the power output and intensity of the light produced by the lamp are very important too. The stronger the output and intensity, the quicker the gel is activated, which means that you get more action over a certain period of time. The temperature of the light is important for the comfort of the customer – the light must be cold. Some lamps produce warm or hot light that can burn the customer’s face, and it is not as effective at activating the peroxide in the gel. The White Knight, which is the lamp Beaming White uses, is the strongest lamp in the industry. Its blue light is so strong and effective that dentists are switching over to it.

Just as all lamps are not created equal, neither are whitening gels. Twelve percent hydrogen peroxide or 35% carbamide peroxide gels provide the best results, but the gel has to be properly formulated to avoid tooth sensitivity. Our patented whitening gel is water-based, which means that it hydrates the teeth throughout the whitening procedure. Hydration of the teeth is what prevents sensitivity. At the same time, we optimized our whitening gels to work with the particular wavelengths and the pulses that our lamps produce. That is why Beaming White’s Teeth Whitening System is considered by industry insiders to be the best, namely the perfect combination of the best LED light and ideal gel formulations.
